Vacancy description

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Lawyer Counsel – to join and lead our IT Law & Data Protection practice. This is a key strategic role, offering the opportunity to head a growing team and work on cutting-edge legal matters in technology, data privacy, cybersecurity, cloud services, and digital transformation.

Your Responsibilities

  • Advise local and international clients on a broad range of IT and data protection matters, including GDPR compliance, data governance, cybersecurity, cloud agreements, outsourcing, and e-commerce.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex IT contracts, data processing agreements, and digital service arrangements.
  • Support clients with regulatory investigations, data breaches, and cross-border data transfers.
  • Lead and mentor a small, dedicated team of lawyers, fostering professional growth and knowledge-sharing.
  • Monitor legal developments and contribute to thought leadership through publications and client seminars.
  • Play an active role in the development and strategic direction of the practice.

Profile

Make an impact with your 8+ years as a qualified lawyer in IT law and data protection across Luxembourg, Belgium, or France. Extra requirements:

  • Qualified Lawyer with at least 8 years of post-qualification experience in IT law and data protection, preferably gained in a reputable law firm or in-house legal department, either in Luxembourg, Belgium or France.
  • In-depth knowledge of EU data protection law, including GDPR and sector-specific regulations.
  • Strong experience in drafting and negotiating IT contracts and data protection-related documentation.
  • Excellent command of English and French (written and spoken); German would be a strong asset.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to manage, inspire and grow a team.
  • Pragmatic, client-focused, and commercially aware, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A collaborative team player with the ambition to take a visible and impactful role in a growing practice.
